You may feel an effect within 30 minutes to an hour. However, everybody and every symptom is different, and some can take days or weeks to feel the full effects. We recommend you track your dosing and efficacy. If, after a week of regular us at a specific dose, you are not seeing the results you want, increase the frequency of your dose. You can continue to increase the frequency of your application until you reach the desired effects. We recommend that any time you increase the dose, you maintain the new frequency for at least a week to become familiar with the effects of the new dose.
Domestic orders are shipped USPS priority mail and usually arrive in 3-5 business days.
CBD derived from hemp that contains less than 0.3% THC is legal in 48 states. If you live in Idaho, products with zero THC are legal. In South Dakota, CBD is still illegal.
Again, everyone responds to CBD differently. How long CBD will stay in your system depends on a variety of factors, including amount taken, consistency of use, your weight/height, and your individual metabolism.
Both hemp and marijuana are derived from cannabis, however, according to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp is required to contain less than 0.3% THC by weight. Marijuana is cannabis that contains more than 0.3% THC. Hemp is completely different from marijuana in its function, cultivation and application. Marijuana, as it is widely known, is used for medicinal or recreational purposes. Hemp is used in a variety of other applications that marijuana isn’t typically used in, such as healthy dietary supplements, clothing, accessories, hempcrete, and plastic.

The Cannabis Sativa L plant is comprised of over five hundred chemical compounds. The plant includes active compounds called terpenoids, flavonoids and phytocannabinoids. There are over 145 cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, each with their own function and potentially-useful properties. Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most well known of the chemicals produced by the cannabis plant other than THC. These chemical compounds are usually found in extracts called CBD oil. Phytocannabinoids interact with our body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) which helps regulate many of the body’s key functions.
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds found in hemp plants. These cannabinoids interact with our body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) which helps regulate many of the body’s key functions. CBD and THC are the most well known and studied of the cannabinoids. Unlike THC, CBD is not intoxicating. Products made with pure CBD isolate contain only extracted CBD, no other cannabinoids. Full spectrum products include all the cannabinoids extracted from the hemp plant. Industrial hemp plants contain less than 0.3% THC.
Not likely. While all people react differently to natural and synthetic drugs, CBD is a non-psychoactive substance. If you’ve heard that someone did get high from CBD, odds are the product was mislabeled or the label was misunderstood. Maven Hemp lab-verified products contain less than 0.3% THC, making it highly unlikely that you will experience any type of “high.”
Maven Hemp CBD products contain less than 0.3% THC, which is a minuscule amount. However, because CBD is a fat-soluble molecule, it can build up in your tissues over time and cause a positive result in a drug test. If you are concerned about failing a drug test, we do not recommend ingesting our full spectrum products.
Full spectrum, in the context of CBD products, refers to the use of all of the cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Compare this to CBD isolate products, which contain only the cannabinoid, CBD. It is believed that full spectrum CBD products are more effective than isolate products due to the synergistic nature of the cannabinoids.
The difference between hemp seed oil and CBD oil lies primarily from where the oil is extracted. Hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant, similar to the process of making sunflower seed oil. CBD oil, on the other hand, is extracted from the flowers, stems, leaves, and stalk of the hemp plant.
At the most basic level, these three substances come from different genus and/or species of the family Cannabaceae. Hemp, for example, refers to the genus Cannabis L. While botanists are in dispute as to the exact categorization of marijuana, three species are commonly recognized: Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. Cannabis is simply a genus of the family Cannabaceae.
There is a lot of confusion about how to dose properly with tinctures. Our tinctures are labeled with the full amount of CBD in the bottle. So you can take the milligram (mg) amount of CBD and divide it by the number of milliliters (ml) in the bottle to find out how many mgs of CBD you are getting in one ml of tincture. In our 30 ml bottles one full dropper equals one ml. So for instance, if you have a 1000 mg tincture you divide 1000 mg by 30 ml, so each dropper full contains 33 mg of CBD. If your doctor prescribed 100 mg per day you should take 3 droppers full daily.

CBN is short for cannabinol. Like CBD or THC, it is a molecule found as a naturally occurring cannabinoid in hemp plants. CBN naturally begins to build up in the plant after the plant is harvested and exposed to heat, light, and oxygen. Just like CBD, CBN interacts with your body’s endocannabinoid system and does not have an intoxicating effect. CBN has not been the subject of as many scientific studies as CBD as of yet, but CBN shows promise in many areas and is continuing to be studied.
CBG is short for cannabigerol. It is a naturally occurring cannabinoid in hemp plants. CBG is the mother of CBD and other cannabinoids, as it is the precursor to other cannabinoids’ development as the plant grows. Like CBD, CBG does not have an intoxicating effect. We are still learning about the many benefits of CBG. Studies show it may have the ability to interact with multiple systems within the body, unlike CBD and CBN that we believe only interact with endocannabinoid system receptors in the body. As we learn more about CBG we may discover it is the most powerful of the cannabinoids.
